7/30

This week has been a busy one for me and the grill. Monday I grilled pork chops and hot banana peppers stuffed with mozzarella cheese and wrapped in bacon. We also had grilled peaches with sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on them.

Tuesday night I smoked some turkey burgers, peppers, and onions.

Tonight I made the trusty BCC with grilled tomato and pepper salad that the wife made.

Finished product of last night

hHere is the finished product from the ribs done on CG last night. It is hard to tell from the pics but the smoke ring is there. The whole top piece of meat (right above the bones) was pink and full of flavor.

Salmon

Had smoked salmon and corn on the cob on Wednesday night. The salmon was the indiviual filets that you can get frozen. All I did was sprinkle Old Bay on them and put them on the grill. I smoked them for about 1 hour with apple chips. The filets came out a little dry but very tasty. Next time I think that I will bast them with some kind of liquid. The corn just got direct heat for about 7 minutes on each side. I also made a garlic, parsley butter to put on the corn. Delicious!!! And again, sorry no pics.

Random

Just some random pics of different grilling sessions. Enjoy with mouth watering I hope.

5/31 Late Memorial Day

So my wife and I had our annual Memorial Day cookout this past weekend. It was a great time. Just a lot of great food and drinks. This year I did two Beer Can Chickens, smoked baked bean, a ten pound bag of chicken quarters, some corn, and asparagus. We also had potato salad, green bean casserole, and lots of desserts. The first two pics are of the two chickens that I rubbed down the night before. The last pic is when I had to transfer the beans to my gas grill to keep warm after I smoked them for 2 hours.

5/28

Had pork chops and grilled bell peppers last night. I just rubbed the chops with salt and pepper and a little cinnamon (secret). Then after grilling them on one side, flipped them and then basted with BBQ sauce. Grilled green, red, and yellow peppers with EVOO and BBQ sauce. Chops came out perfect and not dry. Sorry I forgot to take pics but I hope I explained enough to picture in your mind. I will be grilling this weekend. I will have pics of that.

Just wanted too.

I have created this blog to keep up with all my barbecuing extravaganzas. I have recently purchased a new charcoal grill, the Char-Griller Outlaw. I love it. It got broken in really well over this past Memorial Day weekend. Grilled and smoked alot of meat. So check back often to see what's for dinner next.
